The role? Become a key player in building up the Polish market

As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in our customer-centric sales environment. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new business with larger Mid-Market accounts across Europe, with a special emphasis on building up the Polish market. Your main responsibilities include managing a balanced sales pipeline, building strong client relationships, understanding and addressing customer needs, managing the entire sales cycle from finding a client to closing a deal, and driving impactful sales presentations that resonate with potential clients. Additional responsibilities include things like:

  • Bringing in new, significant cloud workloads from well-defined and select target accounts in Europe through consultative sales and deep relationships with the C-suite.
  • Proactively learning about UpCloud’s expanding service portfolio, competitive offerings, and cloud industry trends.
  • Creating deal playbooks designed to close deals.
  • Partnering with an assigned Business Development Representative (BDR) to build a strong pipeline together.

Your key goals:

  • Establish a strong presence in the Polish market.
  • Building a strong pipeline with the help of BDRs and the marketing team.
  • Close initial deals within the first 6 months.
  • Expand the customer base within 12 months.

👉 International sales team and our ways of working: You will join our Go-to-Market Team led by our CCO Manuel Heilmann. Spread across Europe, our team brings diverse expertise and perspectives. While we provide the necessary resources and support for you to excel, we are a rapidly growing company still refining our processes. This means you'll have considerable autonomy and the opportunity to bring your sales expertise to enhance our practices and processes.

👉 Our mindset: Our sales efforts are centered around a customer-centric approach. You'll focus on creating genuine connections with clients and demonstrating the significant impact of our cloud solutions. Given our competition with major cloud providers, building trustful relationships and deeply understanding client needs through proactive outreach is paramount.

👉 Current sales process: Our current process follows a progressive inbound-led outbound model at UpCloud, where marketing and sales work hand in hand to launch marketing campaigns and outbound sprints. Our current modern sales tech stack includes Salesforce, Salesloft, 6Sense, Vidyard, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and various AI tools.

👉 Opportunity to travel: Your role will involve traveling across Europe about 50% of your work time. Additionally, our team enjoys occasional company retreats, such as our company retreat in Barcelona at the end of September.

  • Language: Communication skills in English and Polish.
  • Location: in Europe. Our team works fully remotely or from our offices in Helsinki and Singapore.
  • Travel: In this role, you will travel in Europe up to 50% of the time.
  • Salary model: The salary includes a base range (~60% of OTE) and substantial commission (~40% of OTE) upon achieving 100% of sales targets, with an uncapped commission model.
