UpCloud is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our global Sales team working remotely in Europe. You’ll join a team responsible for UpCloud’s customer acquisition efforts and new revenue growth. Your role will be prospecting new businesses for UpCloud in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiating the sales cycle: Day-to-day targeting and prospecting of new business customers through programmatic outbound prospecting supported by the best tooling.

  • Running Discovery Meetings with prospects and qualifying new business opportunities for our Account Executives.

  • Innovating and optimizing lead development ideas and strategies. A/B testing cadences, messaging, and communications channels based on data.

  • Representing UpCloud at Conferences

  • Ensuring excellent sales hygiene by managing sales leads and key decision-maker interactions in our CRM (Salesforce) and Sales Engagement Platform (Salesloft)

  • Proactively learning about UpCloud’s expanding service portfolio, competitive offering, and cloud industry trends.

Job requirements

Required Skills for this role:

  • 3+ years of experience in a BDR or SDR role - ideally at a Startup or Scale-up.

  • Experience in selling Cloud Computing services or SaaS products.

  • Self-starter mindset

  • Passion for using multiple communication channels for prospecting, such as Email, Phone, snail mail (Yeah, you heard right 😄), and Video Messaging

  • Willingness to travel to Helsinki and Conferences a couple of times a year.

  • Bilingual-level in English, and ideally in one of the following languages: Swedish, Polish, German, or Spanish. 

  • Excellent communication and objection-handling skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Previous experience from our tooling (Salesforce, Salesloft, 6Sense, Vidyard, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI tools) is considered a plus, but not a requirement


Compensation

The compensation for this role is combined with an annual base salary of 28,000€ - 36,000 € and a performance bonus. With 100% attainment, the bonus would be 10,000 € - 14,000 € annually. Our bonus model is uncapped, which means only the sky is the limit.
