We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our global Sales team in our Singapore office. Your role will be to perform B2B sales to acquire new businesses for UpCloud in the ASEAN region, supported by our digital marketing team. You’ll be joining a global team responsible for UpCloud’s customer acquisition efforts and new revenue growth. The team focuses on EU and ASEAN markets, meaning that you will have colleagues also in the Helsinki office. The team is continuously iterating its way of doing things, meaning that you’ll get the opportunity to improve our processes, give feedback on playbooks and innovate new ways to succeed. Responsibilities:

  • Owning the full sales cycle: Day-to-day targeting, soliciting, and closing of new business customers through programmatic outbound prospecting, social selling, and inbound leads. Supporting you, you will have a digital marketing and technical presales function.

  • Ensuring excellent sales hygiene by managing sales leads and key decision-maker interactions in our CRM (HubSpot)

  • Proactively learning about UpCloud’s expanding service portfolio, competitive offering, and cloud industry trends.

Job requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in tech sales or B2B business development, bonus for experience working with cloud or SaaS products on a hunter role.

  • Fluency in English, bonus for any of the following: Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese

  • A university degree in Business, Tech or other relevant field

  • A genuine interest to learn more about cloud technologies

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Familiarity with CRM practices and hygienic sales processes

  • Singaporean / Permanent Resident; Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor a work permit for this role. We will only consider applicants who are eligible to work in Singapore. The team works in a hybrid model with an emphasis on remote work.
