We are on the lookout for a Finance Specialist to be a vital part of UpCloud's Finance team based in Helsinki. As a Finance Specialist at UpCloud, you will be entrusted with a range of daily accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to handling purchase invoices & payments, managing accounts payable, expense claims and bank statement processing. You will also play an important role in the monthly closing process together with the team, helping to streamline and innovate our future finance processes.

We have recently completed our Netsuite ERP implementation project, paving the way for a period of renewal and innovation in our processes. This presents a good opportunity to contribute fresh perspectives and help shape the trajectory of our finance operations.

To be successful in this role, a flexible, hands-on attitude and a growth-driven mindset are essential. You will be stepping into a thriving ecosystem; the UpCloud Group currently operates through 6 entities spread across 5 different countries globally, with an impressive ~€27m ARR and about 30% yearly revenue growth backed by stable funding. You will report directly to the Group Controller and become a part of our vibrant, flexible, and driven finance team situated at the heart of Helsinki city centre!

Job requirements

In essence, we expect you to have experience and interest in the following areas:

  • Already have some relevant work experience in the field of accounting with the eagerness to learn more and/or a degree related to accounting/finance.

  • Basic understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards, with the capability to absorb a deeper understanding of relevant tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.

  • Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and cooperate with the team.

  • Detail and result-orientedness, comfortable working in collaborative settings.

  • Interest in automating processes and accounting-related tools & processes.

  • Comfortable using English in a work context.

  • Prior experience in using the Netsuite ERP system is considered an advantage.
