Job description
UpCloud is growing, and we’re looking for an Inside Sales representative to join our Sales team in Helsinki, to take ownership of Demand Generation activities and inbound conversions in the European market. You will be working with business processes that are already well established internally, alongside a multicultural team, consisting of some of the smartest individuals globally, to help our customers succeed daily.
What you will be doing
In the big picture, you will have the responsibility of handling both inbound and outbound sales- and marketing activities.
Onboarding inbound leads with existing sales processes in place to take advantage of UpCloud’s cloud platform
Helping out existing customers with any inquiries related to our services and making sure customers are extremely happy
Drive our market share by executing pre-defined marketing activities to build a pipeline for the sales organisation
Your responsibilities include;
Reaching out to potential customers through various different channels, “1-on-1 conversations in scale”. Mostly inbound and text-based communication, but also calling warm new leads and providing preliminary engagement - ensuring inquiries are handled perfectly
- Executing, improving, and innovating on existing and new activities to drive UpCloud adoption, e.g.
Organising & participating in community meet-ups
Working with influencers to promote UpCloud (YouTubers, etc.)
Online community engagement (tech forums, etc.)
Forging partnerships with developer-focused value-added services
- Identifying users and/or user groups who would benefit from UpCloud
Our key-audiences are entrepreneurs and SME’s in the tech field
Build on, and manage lead development pipeline

What we expect from you
Great communication skills to successfully communicate with developers, tech specialists, and entrepreneurs
Communicate the feedback you have received from customers, so we are able to further understand how to develop our services.
Learn and understand UpCloud’s technology, the services we offer, and how customers use our services.
Your background
You have a technical background through your own interest, education, or hands-on work in the tech field. You might have worked in a technical position and are intrigued to move more into a customer-facing business role, or you have worked in a sales position and are intrigued to move more into the technical field of sales. To succeed in this role you have to know what a server is!
You are curious, honest & humble. This is what drives you on a daily basis to go over and beyond what was thought possible.
